Machine territories are virtual environments populated by intelligent machines only. Driven by data and vector embeddings, they are capable to support people once their real-world challenges become either too complex or complicated to be handled by themselves alone.

The list below serves as the rationale behind this approach.

People aim to understand other people and try to relate to them (at best). This is called social empathy. Although social media often fuels the opposite direction (hate), there are some tech platforms that aim to support social empathy by design (empathy-in-tech).

People cannot relate to machine logic. At best, training, hardware design and user interface optimization offer a means to make interactions productive.

Machines cannot relate to people emotionally. Their AI, however, is designed to understand the construction of meaning in human language - including emotion - and descriptive images.

Machines understand other machines and can fully relate to them. This is called rational empathy. Machine territories aim to facilitate interactions between two or more machines, each one of them representing a person or a group (empathy tech).

In a designated territory, machines can come to perform jobs with other machines, execute transactions between them and make progress in machine-collaborative projects. Fueled by data and requests from the outside world, a machine territory can represent rational human interactions within small groups, up ‘till rational social behavior of international human populations. Vector merging is the protocol behind this.
